+1. Loved the improvement it made on my Tremonti SE. I haven't bit yet on replacing the bridge on the RL CE24. It's pretty resonant already and still in the honeymoon phase and just getting to know her, unmolested.

As everyone already knows, John's the Mann!

So will they ever be in stock? Or do you just have to order and wait?

Mine arrived on Thursday but I'm terrified to do myself and will hand off to a pro.
Mine's in. As long as you have a good eye to line up the screws along with the hex key it's pretty easy. Took longer to set saddles and intonation than installing.

Got my kit a bit later than expected, and the brass nickel plated mounting screw head broke off while adjusting the height of the screw heads. Right now I'm looking at this trying to get the broken screw, with no head on it to grab, out of the reclaimed wood... sigh.. anybody know how to get a headless screw out?

I did the same thing. First relax and don't try to do anything more. I was lucky that I live near Mr. Mann and took it to him for a fix. The PTC also told me they could fix it as well.

Dang. Bummer.
Should be the same diameter as the original screws. I double checked and mine went in very easily.
You didn't adjust while under string tension right?

Isn't it still protruding enough to grab with a wrench or plier?

Cleared the deck before installing. Cleaned fretboard, and reclaimed wood top... no string tension...
What remains above the body wood is about 3/16ths of an inch of screw shaft... it's hard to grab with needle nose pliers, which isn't easy to maneuver... I saw a screw removal set of pliers on StewMac that looked promising, but the reclaimed wood is very hard and I suspect the brass screw may be soft or the screw that broke was just weak in the area below the head... Thanks... (pic posted below... can't figure how to display images yet. Sorry)

Is it worth trying to use the new claw? Seems like I'd have to fill and re-drill....

Perhaps the steel crews would work better?

My understanding is that using steel screws with the brass bridge will ruin the knife edge fairly quickly, but I would enquire with John. The brass screws have been working great for 37 yrs, but as you noticed the install is when there is a chance for something to go awry. In my case I had installed the bridge on several guitars and then like you tried on a newer guitar and the holes that PRS drilled on that one seemed a bit tighter than previously and maybe the small change in spec is what got you too.

Try a set of adjustable locking vice grips. You can 'crush" it somewhat because it's soft which should give enough grip to unscrew it. Good luck.

I wanted to use it too, but the screw spacing didn't match, so i didn't bother. It looks much cleaner than the Korean claw.
I let Roxanne know and she took note of it.
