Upgraded My 2016 CE24 Bridge

Thanks Carl. I do a lot of my setup work and have gotten pretty good at it. I think I am going for it based on your recommendation. Thanks again!

As someone heavily looking at purchasing one of the new satin finished CE24's this thread is great. I have been reading about this bridge upgrade and was curious about the before and after and whether or not it would be worth the investment. Thanks for posting!

Just wondering if anyone knows what the 'Nut' material is made of on the CE24?...If I were replacing the bridge, I'd upgrade the nut at the same time.
But that's just me.

My understanding s that the nut is the same as the core guitars. That is not an expensive part by its nature. My S2 has the same nut,so I do believe it's the same on the CE.

Been thinking about doing the same. Wonder though with how good the se trem is would upgradeing the saddles and block be almost as good?

I put a mann trem on my cu24 and noticed a huge difference right away even unplugged. Notes were fuller and seemed to jump out of the guitar.

I put one on my ce24 and didn't notice much of a difference at all.

I wonder if the plating on the saddles would make the difference? My CU24 is a 2011 and my ce24 is a 1997 but the saddles on my CU24 were in worse shape.

Yeah i saw the kit and wonder if it would be close enough and save a couple dollars or go ahead and spend a little more for the whole thing.

For the difference in the price, I bought the complete tremolo for my CE. My tuning is rock stable now.

I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on one of those for my SE Tremonti Custom. Not that the SE bridge is bad by any means, but I want the characteristics that come with the different materials used.

I went with the upgrade kit just for the hell of it on a used SE. Make a huge difference both sonically and playability-wise. FYI, the kit isn't just the block and the saddles, but also mounting screws and springs. The Mann mounting screws are far superior to the stock import ones and are a big part of letting the trem return to zero without any stickiness or binding or other issues that plague tuning stability. The springs are much smoother than the stock ones, the trem now plays like butter no matter how much you wang on it (and it's become notoriously hard to get it out of tune). Possibly the smoothest trem, locking or non-locking, I've ever experienced (including a few Core models). So yeah, on an SE or even an S2 I would definitely recommend the upgrade kit.

[Edit: Yeah, just re-read the listing, the bridge comes with mounting hardware. My bad]

Anyway, the kit comes very close to the bridge, although a lot of people have concerns with the import bridge plate, and the fact that even with the upgrade, the bridge isn't a single-piece. It's up to you to decide if it warrants the extra $75. May have to get another Orianthi and the 2000NOS to satisfy my curiosity.

Upgraded my Tremonti SE with the 2000NOS and the sustain and tone is definitely better/musical.
Now that bad news.. your itchy trigger finger has to stay itchy for a little while... John's currently out of stock. Waiting for a reply back as I'm considering the upgrade also for my RL CE24...whenever that decides to shows up!

The good news is we should have bridges ready to ship by the end of next week 04/21/17. (they are at my plating shop right now)

Awesome! Been checking the website every day... my CE will get a 'Made in USA' bump.

I've got one order too. The import bridge is good, but I got a deal on the RLCE24 which is cheaper than the normal CE24 and the Mann bridge is less than the difference.

Looking forward to it shipping!
