Maybe I missed the update.... but, they just changed the SE SAS from a 3 way toggle to a 5 way blade, which seems like an awesome upgrade. But, you'll miss out on some unique tones from the first one. Anyone have more info on this change??

I prefer the toggle but that’s just me.

5 way blade is much more intuitive. You could easily make the volume knob be a push pull for "neck on" and get all the sounds.

Agree. Part of the reason I unloaded this model when it first released. I didn’t bond with it and immediately wish it had a blade. Anything with 3 pickups should have a blade.

I don't know, I might prefer the toggle switch wiring system. Both are cool.

I was all set to get a NF3, but now I'm thinking about freeway switches & just going full custom....

Even when you change it to something that makes more sense...
I'm the kind of guy that says, "Hmmm.... Duncan Hyperswitch or Freeway 10 position...? Middle position humbucker replacement...?"

Seriously though... I've been looking for an excuse to try the Hyperswitch.
Bluetooth programming? C'mon..wtf?

But yeah... I'm in the camp that prefers blade over toggle in a 3 pickup guitar. The Freeway Ultra toggle 'upgrade' never really appealed to me.
