Well, seems like finally my prayer has been answered.

I have always keen of PRS guitars, well initially based purely on the look. Then after my first, I realized that the sound is also very unique and really musical (well, as PRSh loves to say... and he really means it). I am basically hooked, but something inside me is asking... "you are here for the look, why don't you go all the way and get "the Look" that you have always want".

Well, the answer to that seems to lie only in the Private Stock path of life, which I am not ready yet (unless I could be at the vault picking up those woods...).

The thing is, I always have that special feeling with one particular color, the Black Gold Burst. I love that color to death and would love if all my guitars could be in that. However, I also love the "natural binding" that is always the thing with PRSi. But... but... how come the Black Gold burst would not come with one??? I have seen some special order with the binding but seems to be only a few of them. Otherwise, PS would be the only way to go.

Then finally, my dream has come true in the form of the limited run "58/15"

This guitar has all the ingredient that would wants in a PRS (except for one, which I know that it definitely has to be PS to get that is the binding around the headstock, you know how shallow I am...). The color, the binding, the fretboard binding, that beautiful birds, the layout, coil tap, new trem and the pickup... I know the second that I saw it showed up on the PRS page that I would have to get one of these.

Then I found out, only 25 of this limited run will fit my spec as I would prefer the Pattern Regular neck... well could not wait any longer... have to act fast.

Before babbling for far too long... well one of these will be on the way to Bangkok in the next few weeks.

NGD thread with tons of pictures will soon follow. Until then...

The pain of waiting is almost unbearable right now....

An excellent choice, and a beautiful color. A premature congrats and HNGD!

Congrats! We will be awaiting the NGD pics!
Thank you krab. Will be lots of pics, I promise.
My god, that is just beautiful, congrats! Can't wait for the NGD pix!
This picture was from PRS 58/15 page. The one I will get is quite similar. Although the flame is not as tight, but it is close to perfect ideal flame for me.

Thank you very much krab!

Gorgeous, I'm sure you'll dig it! Don't forget the tone report!

You sir have some of the best-looking regular production PRSes I have seen...no doubt your new one will be a stunner as well. Pre-congrats...can't wait for pics and the tone report / clips !

SuppDee, (my new nickname for you)

Congrats my friend. Good things come to those that wait. Got to be happy with that, stunning colour combo. You live in Thailand...a beautiful country loaded with all manner of artistic talent. Find some talented artist, custom car or bike painter maybe, to pin stripe the headstock to look like inlay / binding ? Headstock isn't usually a high wear area so good quality paint would hold up nicely.

You seem to like your 408 loaded guitars, what's drawn you to them, what style of music do you play ?
What is the main difference between the CU 24 and Brushstroke 24 sound wise, which do you prefer ?

Looking forward to your NGD.

I have a Paul's and that would be my only complaint, the lack of the natural wood body binding. Why Mr PRS ? It looks so dang good.......

Thank you very much krab! I think I would just leave it as is. I know eventually, PS would be unavoidable.

I love the option that the 408 variations offer. The ability to mix single coil and humbucker freely without the volume drop is really great! I do play variety styles of music ranging from pop, rock to full blown metal. These guitars serve my playing really well. They are all quite different from each other :

Paul's Guitar : My most musical guitar. Very expressive, responsive with lots of note definition. Have the best clean sound out of all my PRSi. The only complain is the same, why don't they make them with natural binding, WHY???
Brushstroke24 : My go to guitar and main one for the gig. This particular one has very thick sound but yet cutting through with ease. Could be dialed to sound pretty close to my Gibson Les Paul '87 but has much broader application.
408MT BRW : My darkest sounding PRSi. Cover a lot of ground especially on the heavier stuff. The clean sound is a little "sterile" compare to my others.
Custom24 30th Anniversary : This one is different than the others, mainly because of the set up and the thinner body. The brightest of all my PRSi but yet very clear definition. The volume drop in position 2 and 4 could be a good thing in many situations. Sound most "Straty" of all my PRSi.

Thank you very much krab. Although that picture is the promo on PRS website, mine looks quite similar to that.

I feel your pain Muh-man :(

Thank you Markie! The pain is really strong on this one....

Thank you krab. Not for the next couple of weeks though....
