I ordered the standard black tolex and charcoal faceplate, just like what I had on my HXDA 50. It'll look the exact same.

Same difference as my HXDA 50 I'm sure, based on the clips I've heard. Just a little less likely to blow the doors off the room. Totally different amps that can't really be compared, an apples and oranges thing.

I hope so too!

The 30 is basically the same amp as the 50, only with lower plate voltage on the power tubes. It'll be interesting to see how this change affects the tone of the amp.

In the clips on the PRS site the 30 sounds just like the 50.

But they're only clips; one never knows until the rubber meets the road, so to speak. I also have the matching pine 1x12 coming for it. I figured with 30 watts, it should be a good match for the head, and my studio doesn't currently have a smaller speaker cab. I have the Grissom 2x12 as a "just in case."

It'll be fun trying to sneak it into the house past my wife. Wait, what am I saying, I'll never get away with it for a second.
