The band I've been playing with for seven years broke up in February. We got a lot of work and I've been floundering a little since then.
So, a couple of weeks ago, I got a call from an acquaintance who wanted me to join a hardcore bluegrass band.
Difference between them and most is that they have work ... a lot of work.
Summertime, mostly festivals but many bars/pubs. So I'm booked in until the end of September.
Kinda cool, I haven't been on the road fulltime in many years, looking forward to it.

First gig ... Canader Day ... eh! ... Vancouver. Then across Canada and the US.
Just like old times.

Goin' to have to break out my Dad's Staghorn and D35, along with channeling my inner John Duffy and Bobby Osborne for vocals.
My Dad is no longer with me, but I'm really looking forward to putting his legacy back in service, even if only for a short while.

Should be fun.

Sounds really great, congratulations! I love good bluegrass pickin'.

Well one thing for sure is you will figure out very quickly who in this group gets on your nerves! Good luck, should be fun regardless.
