So a few weeks ago I posted about the PRS meet and greet at Righteous Guitars here in Georgia, and how I torqued off Paul with a smartazz question "why do I want a PRS that is modeled after a vintage Les Paul?". He proceeded to threaten to call my wife, and tossed me a 594 to try out. My buddy and I had actually asked that very question when the model was introduced, thinking it a bit retro compared to our killer CU24's.
...Fast forward to today, I was in the neighborhood with my wife running some errands, and she agreed to stop at Righteous so I could play a semi-hollow CU24 in Eriza Verde I had my eye on (it was nice, but too much like my existing 30th CU24), when she spotted a quilted blue 594 on the wall and asked me to get it down because it looked so nice. When I plugged it in... HOLY COW!!!!!!! It just sang to me. I went to lunch, thought on it, and with her blessing, went back and bought it.
Without further ado - A wood library, Korina back and neck, BRW board McCarty 594 with a 58/15lt in the neck and a 57/08 in the bridge in faded blue jean quilt:
And lastly, a family portrait of my three gorgeous PRS':
My wife is definitely a keeper! (or is that enabler?)
