A lot of people don't know him for one and a lot of people discount his voice saying he is too pitchy and whiney, etc. I happen to think he is brilliant but for many it is a love or hate thing with him or they just don't know him.

I think he tends to be more “whiny” with Slash, but that may be intentional. And I’m not crazy about that approach, but I agree he’s brilliant. I’m a huge Alter Bridge fan. I keep looking for more songs to be released on the new record.
