uncertainty with date of manufacture

I purchased a pre-factory guitar with serial number 175092. It came with a slip from New York music with a purchase date of March 1993 but some prs enthusiasts suggest it is an earlier model. any info would be appreciated. bolt on neck.

There is no such thing as a pre-factory PRS unless it was made before 1985 when the first factory opened.

Probably a 1991.

My guess is that it's a late 1991/early 1992 CE24. The first digit, "1", denotes 1991 or 2001, the second digit, "7", denotes a CE model, and the last 4 digits, "5092", is in the range of the 1992 guitars, but those serial numbers are approximate.

And please share pics! There are lots of CE fans on this forum who always enjoy seeing older CE models.
