Brave Ulysses

And you see a girl's brown body dancing through the turquoise,
And her footprints make you follow where the sky loves the sea.
And when your fingers find her, she drowns you in her body,
Carving deep blue ripples in the tissues of your mind.*

Coming soon to a studio near me...

You may need to redecorate, just for this reason.

Oh mamma...

You thought the leaden winter would bring you down forever,
But you rode upon a steamer to the violence of the sun...

It's only ten degrees here, and going down to 3 degrees at night for at least the rest of the week.

So I'm waiting for the weather to warm up before having the guitar shipped. With a nitro finish, I'd rather not be in a hurry. I'm told Martin isn't shipping this week because of the cold, either.

Les, when you first mentioned that you have ordered 30th Anni I did not expect it to be the PS version of it... Congratulation!!! Wow, the Hammer and then this!

Well...originally I was not going to go with the PS version. But then I thought about it over the past week or so, and my PS guitars have been so deeply satisfying in every way - feel, tone, vibe, build quality - that I think they are just a great investment for the work I do.

There's an intrinsically satisfying thing about them. And I don't have a lot of guitars; this one makes only three, whereas most guys who do this for a living have lots more. So I thought it was worth it and I went for it.

I was gonna say - Artist Quilt huh? Thought they had run out of that. ;) And I guess they still have since it's PS. Congrats!!!

The weird thing is, I'm more of a flame guy than a quilt guy, but I asked Jack to make a clip of the guitar, and I fell in love with it. The tone is off the chart!

I am normally too - and my only PS is quilt. Tone aside, there's just something about the visual appeal of quilt at that level that's pretty special actually. Your new addition is no exception.

Thanks! I agree, it's pretty!

I just fell in love with the darn thing. So glad to have been able to do this.

Wow! That is just AMAZING! Hope to get a sound clip to show off (sound off) what you have already heard.

And a comparison to the Hammer will be in order!

Will do, Don! I can already tell from Jack's clip that it has a very different voice from The Hammer (that of course is the whole reason for getting it) - but it'll be at least a week before shipping, because I don't want to have it sit on a truck in below zero weather, and go into warmer sorting buildings and then back to very cold trucks. So I'm waiting for the temps to rise a bit.

If it stays this cold for very long, I'm going to have to be one patient dude!

Oh my Les, this is most exquisite in every way.
Congrats, can't wait to hear your demo and read your impression on her, btw is the neck WF?
