Hello everyone

I am curious if anyone has one of these amps?
I am very interested in what I can hear online ( a few you tube vids). There are none anywhere near me to try.
I play mostly blues and some classic rock
I am looking for an amp that is very musical, with pristine cleans, but some higher gain that is still articulate.
Can you compare the Custom 20 to Fender? Vox? Marshall?
Not looking for a clone, just trying to get a feel for the sound. Hard to tell on you tube

Currently have an H&K tubemeister 18 head and 1x12 cab. EL84 has great cleans, but not as happy with the lead channel. Gets muddy.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I highlighted the perfect description of this amp. I also play mostly blues and classic rock and I've been perfectly happy with this amp.

I don't know of any specific demos of the 20 watt version, but if you check out a lot of the recent SE and S2 demos on the PRS youtube channel, many of them feature a 50 watt version - and they always sound good!

Just be aware that to a greater or lesser degree, any 20 watt amp is going to lose definition at higher gain, simply because the whole point of a low power amp is to break up early, and thus "run out of headroom." Though it must be said that PRS amps tend to do very well and stay articulate at the extremes of their output ranges (I have a 30 Watt HXDA and 30 Watt DG30, and formerly had a 50 Watt HXDA).
