I have been trying to lower the action on my custum SE. I did the neck release first. I just can't seem get it right. Either buzzing or too low first fret or too high at the bottom. The only thing that I haven't tried is to lower the whole bridge. I'm not sure if it is a little high. See picture. I never had this much trouble lower the action on a guitar

Sorry but this video was not helpful. I'm not installing a new bridge. Does anyone know if there should be a lot of space between the guitar and the bridge or just a little space? Is the bridge supposed to be at a angle or straight. My bridge looks to be at a slight angle higher on the 6th string lower on the 1st string.

Can I lower the bridge from the mounting screws at the front of the bridge? Most of the things I am reading is saying to stay away from making any adjustments to them.

You can lower them, BUT there must be no tension on the bridge or you will ruin the knife edge on the mounting screw. That means no strings, and no trem springs attached. As for the bridge itself, it should be level from side to side, and parallel with the body from front to back (string path).

Here's another good set up video.

Who ever set this guitar up really did a horrible job! All of the mounting screws on the bridge are uneven.
