Tremonti USA pickups

hi i have a tremonti se with american tremonti pickups. when running thru my hx effects and use any distortion pedals there is a short delay before the sound begins. then it is just a blast of sound. sounds kind of like a compressor except nusable the neck pup sounds fine. any help?

Does it do that across all patches? At all volumes? It almost sounds like you've got a limiter or something (gate maybe) that is cutting off the initial attack if it's getting hit too hard.

You may need to adjust the threshold of the hx, or you may be overdriving the input to much and getting digital distortion. The Tremonti bridge is crazy hot.

yep, check noise gate / input gate

and what your global levels are set for eg

Jack What are you connecting? Then do this: INPUT L/MONO, RIGHT Guitar or bass with passive pickups Set Input Level to "Inst" Guitar or bass with really loud or active pickups Set Input Level to either "Inst" or "Line" (trust your ears)
