Hi all,
I have the opportunity to trade a se eg with the triple single coils and hardtail for Mark Tremonti se charcoal burst with trem and humbuckers. Any thoughts, opinions ?
I personally am moving away from single coils and my SG has a coil splitter already. Leaning more towards humbuckers though I do prefer hardtails.
Thanks everyone!

Do what moves you, my friend. The Tremonti SE is a great guitar. I had one and it was balls to the walls. Unfortunately, it was 9.5 pounds and got too heavy by the third set.

I have one and it's one hell of a good guitar...but, it's heavy. If you have the shoulder for it then I think you'll like what it can do. Blending pickups, and also rolling the volumes down on each with a gain pedal yields some superb crunchy/clean sounds. It's plays wonderfully with low action and no buzzes or fret outs. Just a great guitar - but heavy.
