I bought a 2017 Tremonti Se Custom used that had ratio locking tuners installed. So I know that some mods had been done to it. One of the pick ups say PRS USA with a sticker that says Tremonti Treble. My question is are these standard with the SE model or were they possibly upgraded? Thanks in advance!

The SE Tremonti bobbins are black glossy plastic and both are black. The USA Tremonti come bass is chrome covered and the treble has a matte PRS bobbin cover on it like all the other USA made PRS uncovered humbuckers.
So if its matte and uncovered in black, its probably a USA. I am not sure about this but I dont think SE pickups have labels on them. Mine did not. Also both my SE pickups were a bit lower output then the USA ones they have been upgraded with. I know for a fact the Tremonti USA pickups have a really high output for PRS so that might tell you also. They almost react like active pickups. The SE one's are average output. I also caution going by the tuners as a big online retailer is selling SE locking tuners now. I have a set and they are really high quality. SE tuners have different mounting holes so you will see the old holes if they put USA tuners in them. Spoke to John Mann all about this.
