Haha, I love that! I think I might have to name it Shiner.....
Thanks bud, yeh I've seen similar vids but not that particular one. That vacuum bag looks spot on, definitely giving it a go on the next project with a modified clothes vac bag.
Thanks for all the positive comments so far.
Slowly building the top coat, sanding in between (before any polishing or buffing).........
Final coat before sanding it flat and polishing and buffing.........
Love how you have the reflection of the car, so the bridge pickup looks like the headlight!
Looking sweet!! Buff away!
I also have a trimonti custom brand new grey black. I like the ax but, if any what pick ups would you put in it to make it really hot.
and to make other people think its cool not just me. I like lindy fralins and seymore duncans..
please let me know .some opinions.
In my other Tremonti SE I chucked Seymour Duncans into it, Hot Rodded JB/Jazz, as I wanted a blues/rock guitar.
Absolutely tons of options out there.
If you like Seymour Duncans, try the Alpha Omega combo? Have look at their website for sound-clips.
If you want to stick with PRS pickups, try the Metal pickups or Tremonti USA pickups.
Onto the neck then.
I love an unfinished neck, so decided on that.
Out with the sandpaper again.......
Part way through a million different grades of sandpaper.....
It's now seriously smooth, lightly oiled and feels amazing.
That's a neck I love!
Next to tackle the headstock.
What to do with this......
I thought I'd give one of those decals a try, I can't tell you had bad it was!....
With the decal quickly in the bin, it was time to do it properly with a nice rosewood veneer.
And waterslide decal......
Don't worry, this will never look like a Core (you'll agree with that soon if you don't already, trust me....), and nor will it ever leave me anyway.
It feels amazing, I haven't got the kahunas to do it to a core though. Yet
And then to fit those gorgeous Phase III tuners; I really do like Phase III tuners a little too much .....
Thanks mate, it's gets interesting soon.
Good choices! For the record, I haven't had the guts to do it to a core either!
Well lookie what we have here!! Sweet job so far! Keep the pics coming!!
So you bought the last pack of ACC-4204?!
