I'm thinking of buying a tremonti se....

my acutal question is about his amp.
did he use a mesa triple recto cab on my own prison and human clay???

see, i have a triple rectifier, and just got a mesa cab. just wanna be sure i have the right cab. i also have a marshall cab with g12-75s but it is horrible.

the all american rejects are another band i like to play along to and they use a marshall cab with v30s, so im thinking of getting one of those......so im wondering if mark ever used a marshall cab at some point with a triple rectifier?

so what im wanting to know is what amp and cab he used on my own prison and human clay. those albums are classic.:congrats:

Hard to really say what he used exactly in the studio unless you find an interview from back then. I'm guessing the Recto cab was used. You gotta realize there's a lot there when recording tracks for an album. Doubling, tripling parts using multiple amps to create the massive tone you hear. But to answer your question...yes, you have the right gear to get the Human Clay tone. Not sure what he used on the 1st album, but his tone is quite a bit different(or maybe just less produced and layered).

I'd say a Marshall cab with v30s would be fine. The 75s will be way too scooped sounding with the Rec. I prefer v30s with just about any kind of 6L6 amp to add back some of the mids. I think Mark used a dual rec back in the day. His back line usually had mesa cabs but there is no telling what he used in the studio.

My Own Prison was a Rectifier with Recto cabs, as well as a Fender twin Reverb blended for cleans. He however used a Les Paul. Human Clay was a combination of LP's and PRS.
