So, although my tremolo arm tension adjustment screw is screwed in fairly tight, I think that, after 10 years of whammy action, the black plastic bushing down inside the trem block is not gripping the arm sufficiently around its perimeter. If I screw the tension screw in any further, I cannot insert the arm.
Does anyone know how to remove and replace these plastic inserts?

I thought this thread was going to be about some magical bush you'd grown that sprouts tremolo arms like flowers. I was going to say, that's a neat trick.

PRS Accessories has a tremolo bridge update kit that includes the bushing, set screw, unplated brass intonation screws and string height adjustment allen screws, just received mine today

Fwiw I never push the bar in with the screw tight. To be honest it’s never come out since I installed it the first time but I loosen the screw if I ever want to take it and then tighten it after I install it again. I would try that before replacing the bushing. And definitely loosen the screw before ever taking it out (although why have a temolo)
