Trem arm?

I like the trem arm on my SE santana better than the arm on my SE custom 24. The santana arm has a more pronounced bend and sits higher than the custom 24 arm. Any idea where I could get another trem arm like the santana?

In theory they should be the same part for both of your guitars. I don't recall there being a special "SE Santana" trem arm.

What model years are each of them? Maybe it is just a reflect of some minor design/manufacturing tweaks over the years?

As for sitting higher, you can adjust the height by just pulling it out a bit more, and maybe tightening the tiny set screw a smidge.

I’ve taken the trem arm on a couple of my SE’s and bent them to increase the travel distance. Be careful if you do if.

Mod the one you don't like!

I discovered the short trem arm a few years ago on Strats and absolutely love that configuration.

I'm planning on getting another trem arm for my SE Santana so I can mod it (and keep the original). I like them cut off about where the bend starts, then I add a bend further down the line.

After I did it myself, I stumbled across others marketed as 'Gilmour' style arms.

Heres what im talking about. The arm without the back tip is from the se santana, notice the deeper bend in the arm. The black tip arm is from the se custom 24.

Well, if you think so, then I guess we can't help you without a photo.

PRS offers this forum free of charge, and to keep costs down the best way is to minimize storage footprint. If everyone uploaded their photos to this site, the costs would escalate, and it might not last. This way, you can still share photos without overly impacting PRS themselves.

Frankly, I like having my photos on a third-party site to use across all my social media postings as direct links.

I bend ALL of mine with a vise. I open the right angle up that inserts into the trem a bit. Say a bend that adds 1/4 of an inch. Trace the old one and then make a target on the paper for the new bend. Its easy...
