Treble Bleed? SE Standard.

Just got an SE Standard, and love it. But there's a slight loss of top when the vol is backed off. The circuit looks like there's a treble bleed cap in there but no note of the value.
On most of my other guitars, I've removed the treble bleed cap and taken the tone control off the wiper of the vol pot, not the top. Has anyone tried this?
Treble loss sometimes varies, and I'm convinced it changes with the cable (length, capacitance) and the input impedance of the amp.

I believe it's a 180pf...
Sounds like you prefer 50s wiring; a treble bleed is generally not used or required with this wiring.

Tried that - still not as bright as the full-on vol. I may try the Kinman series circuit next...
