Tone cap in CU22&24?

Unscrew your control cover and the value should be printed right on the cap, or a code that will tell you with a little research. I could tell you what's in mine, but not in yours.

Depends on the age. Some have .022uf others .033uf. Open your control cover and read your cap to see what you have!

Thanks guys, I should be been clearer. I had a .033 stock but switched to a .047 to warm things up a bit. I was more curious about what comes stock in the core guitars because I'm going to rip the guts out of my SE CU22 Semi-hollow because the pots are just horrible. They work but the tone pot has very little sweep. Plus, I'm a big believer in quality electronics in a guitar, especially given the low cost involved. I always do this to import guitars to great effect.

Generally, I do the exact same thing. As I replaced pickups in my SEs, out went the guts...except my SE245. The results of putting SD Antiquity hummers in with the stock harness and pots were so stunning, I was afraid to upset perfection. Pots are never exactly the same value, even 1% tolerance stuff, so I left them in with the original capacitor and wire. They don’t have the feel that I prefer but the tone and control are excellent. Don’t mess with success! Otherwise, I have US PRS harnesses in everything else except the Vela, which has RS Guitarworks’ SuperPots.

I've thought about the antiquities but I don't want to lose the coil tap. I actually like the 85/15 S pickups so far so I'm going to see how they sound with the new pots and wiring before making that change. If I do change pups, I've heard really good things about the Dragon's clarity so maybe a possibility there.
