Tonal differences between SE Standard 24 and SE Custom 24

Assuming the wood is different, there's a good chance in there being tonal differences between the 2. Anyone here have 1st hand experience, or other anecdotal evidence?

In the absence of anecdotal evidence, there's always anecdotal speculation. I think this team is up to the challenge..

Maple vs. no maple on the body. Whatever YOU think you hear in a maple top is the difference.

One is just Mahogany and the other is Mahogany with a Maple cap. Generally, the Standard SE should be a bit darker and the Custom a bit brighter - but there are some that will say Tone Woods make no difference on an Electric guitar...
