Hitting the stage today (well, minus the cab, which is running via an IR profile)

I don't think I could find two pieces of gear I own that clash any more than this... paisley and metallic orange creamsicle!

But, alas, our band set for church today has a reggae tune and a country tune, and there was no denying that the middle pickup of the NF3 was it for the reggae groove, and the bridge pickup is country pickin' all the way. It's a serious guitar! And the Custom 50, through Cream and Ruby celestions, is the perfect sonic match. Go figure.

I'm dumb deaf colour blind. Every cable in an IED appears red. No, joking.
Who is considering colour match for his stage gear? The feel and the tone counts in the moment.
And by the way in your case: The orange shade of your guitar emphasizes the vital flame of faith and holy spirit when it comes to worship.
Proposal: Don't overthink, just play!

Matches your pedalboard perfectly!

I will confess to always matching my gig gear and my stage outfit.
I always match my boots, belt, guitar strap, assless chaps and codpiece whether I'm on stage or not.

Love it!

Assless chaps and a codpiece. I dated a woman back in the 80’s who lived very near the Castro district. 1980’s Just to pin it down for @László, who gets confused as to century once in a while it seems. Anyway, Halloween in the Castro, one loses count of the gentleman in assless chaps and codpieces somewhere over a dozen. It seemed the “de rigor” attire for the place, date and decade. Not a judgement mind you, just an observation.

Regarding the OP - ORANGE!

Things literally were better before now.

You bought a gawdy upholstered amp and cabinet(reminiscent of a carpet bag) and gawdy colored guitar(reminiscent of a late 80s RG550)...What did you expect?😉

I get confused about whether.....
To help you avoid such blissful states, do you have any electronic musings named "assless chaps" that maybe I could inject a flurry of hard rock noodles to make those buns wiggle a bit?

Btw...your Churchill backdrop was a two-listen, and one where crackle was actually in good use.

I'd love to rape and pillage some ideas....someday if that's viewed appropriate.

Thanks! Churchill is one of my heroes. Creating that piece was cathartic.

Of course it is!

I must be doing it wrong. I always feel dirtier after reading about that dude.
You are indeed doing it wrong.

I suggest reading a well-written, well-researched history of the period.

Andrew Roberts' Churchill - Walking With Destiny would be a good start, as is William Manchester's The Last Lion. For Churchill's principled stand against what Nazi Germany was doing beginning in 1933, Tim Bouverie's Appeasement is a good introduction. Ian Kershaw's Fateful Choices is also a good overview of the period.

I can also suggest Zara Steiner's Triumph of the Dark as one of the finest and most readable pieces of historical research ever done.

Churchill did principled and great things to prevent the Third Reich from taking over all of Europe and Russia permanently. He was the outstanding figure of the 20th Century.

Imperfect? Certainly. So are we all.
