Today I am the 'get-the-house-clean-for-the-company-empty-the-hall-closet-set-the-table' slave while my wife and daughter cook. Housekeeper came a few days ago, so...pretty easy work.

I offered to help in the kitchen. I was ordered out. Giving thanks for that!

My wife, who is a GREAT cook, failed miserably at learning how to smoke things. Gave up after I bought her a new smoker, and 4 to 5 failed attempts, the last of which was ruining a $40 brisket.

My brother smoked Turkey breasts Saturday for our Thanksgiving dinner with them. They were GREAT!!!

I'm working for the first time in my adult life!! I retired from teaching and got a fun job as HR for a grocery store. We're slammed and I'm having a blast. We're doing Thanksgiving on Saturday. It'll be my first one since moving to the mountains. There's a lot to be thankful for, too. Enjoy, brothers!
