I've recently acquired a 2000 Custom 22, figured maple top, mahogany neck with a wide/thin carve, East Indian rosewood fretboard with a Raspberry finish.
The P in the PRS gold logo is missing but PRS Tech Center is sending me one. The problem is that somebody (not me) tried re-gluing the original one (and failed) and made a mess of the finish in that area.
I've examined it closely and the headstock appears to be all one piece mahogany as is the neck and body of this fine instrument.
The only blemishes are a few dings with one serious, through the finish to the wood hit along the edges of the body and small notch up on the side of the very top of the East Indian rosewood fretboard.
I'm seeking ideas on how to fix or at least minimize or hide, all of these minor blemishes. I understand usage marks and that's fine but I love this guitar and want it to look as good as it can, too!
Thanks in advance for your input! You've already helped me return the guitar to factory specs and it plays and sounds great!
