How does everyone feel about the SE Tremolo, does it hold it's own against the core line tremolo?

The only complaint I have is that sometimes the ball ends of strings will get caught in mine, otherwise I think it’s pretty nice. And like Shawn said, the different block material is perfect for some guitars.

+1 to Shawn and Serg... it all depends on where your guitar is, and where you want to go. I have one guitar that I swapped the import trem out to make it sound less brash, like Shawn mentioned, and it worked well. Another guitar sounds ace with the import trem and I don't dare touch it.

Functionally, if it's set up and maintained properly, I've not noticed any problems. More often than not, problems with guitars equipped with the import trem are actually problems with the nut.

I recently got a CE24 with the import SE Trem, the trem has worked well but I also have the ball ends of the strings get stuck in the block when I try to remove during string changes, especially on the high E string. Anyone know why this happens, is there something that can be done to prevent this.

I have that problem as well and did on my old Santana SE. I don't think I ever had the issue on my Strat (either with stock bridge or Callahan bridge.) I never figured out how to prevent it, but I used the new low E or A strings to push the ball ends out from the top. That seems to work okay.

If that Mann brass block is a solution to this issue and make the guitar sound and sustain even better, i'm definitely in!
