So here's what happened: I got a new orchestral percussion sample library I wanted to try out with some symphonic sounds. And a synth got updated. I just jammed this, really, and it seemed to work, so I went with it. There's a riff that changes keys. It was fun to mess around with.

The title 'Newton' was just pulled out of the air and has nothing to do with anything. I give the pieces names because it's less confusing than simply identifying tracks by number.

Started as a jam, ended as a battle between good and evil! As usual Mr. Les, a lot of visualization in your pieces, for me anyway when I listen to them! I definitely feel like I am watching a movie when listening the stuff you have posted over the past few months! Love the orchestral tones. Very realistic. I have most of the Native Instruments orchestral instruments, is that what you are using?

Keep 'em comin'!

Happy symphoning!

Thanks, guys! Glad you like 'em!

I use a bit of a mishmash of orchestral instruments. Usually I blend the Spitfire, Orchestral Tools (Berlin Strings folks), and EastWest instrument libraries. Each has its charms.

Brought to mind a sequence of two people in a foot chase, cat and mouse style. With lots of stopping and looking around corners before continuing on. the one doing the chasing may look a lot like Popeye Doyle. Very cinematic.

You are way too kind, gentlemen;

The repetition of the main phrase with slight variations kind of bugs me. Yet that seems to be what makes it kind of interesting in its own way. I dunno. Maybe someone with better music training than I have will suggest some changes.

OK.
I closed my eyes.
I listened to this excellent piece of music.
The inside of my eyelids showed me 2 groups of dancers.
They are out on the streets.

Hunting.
Chasing.
Dodging.
Clashing.

If they ever remake West Side Story.....

Nice one Les, I can picture your hands dancing over that keyboard!

Very atmospheric and lots of musical tension.

I imagined a deer being pursued over terrain with hunters firing shots afterwards...the break at 1:40 was a brief interlude when the deer may have taken a bullet and was briefly dazed, but escapes and continues on its run...
