This Looks Interesting.

I was working in a guitar store in the 90s, and a used Soldano came in, everyone was all, "ooh, aaah". I plugged in to it, and was not a fan of the sound.

We also sold Mesa, when the Dual Rec came out it was like the same thing to me. Not a fan of the fizzy od these things have. Well, not fizzy, but like ... fizzy with the top end rolled off. Fuzzy?

Also, Dumbles sound similar to me, LOL.

A good EQ pedal is a wonderful tool to get that 'nth' degree of tone from time to time. For me, it's a mandatory add to any pedal board. I often use one with my amps to accentuate or cut certain frequency bands with different guitars - for example, to add a little edge, definition or glassiness to humbuckers, or add a little fullness to single coils. Or cut excessive highs or low mids.

An amp's tone controls often have turnover points at similar frequencies, but their 'Q' might be too wide or narrow to do the job, and sometimes it's just not the frequency you need to alter in the first place.
To me, a Para-EQ, post-amp is the most effective in shaping the sound. If it has at least 4 bands and the option to cut or shelf each band, I'm good.

Honestly I couldn't hear much of the guitar at all, so can't comment, but what a fun video, and what a cool thing to have a band reunion!
We had an album that we put out and had a song on the radio back in 1997-98. VERY local radio.... We did end up opening up for The Violent Femmes at a college music festival!

We have only played twice since 1999, but the guys had such a great time, we are going to play 2 shows this summer, and then have another big performance right after Christmas, at the same venue as the video clip. We sold out pretty quickly this last time, so we are going to do 2 nights this year!!

2025 Project for 2-Nighter:
- pick up SAS or Studio
- refinish in giant metal flake!!!
