This is a prs goldtop? Or chinese copy?

Thanks for the replies.
Actually, my question is in color, since all that MacCarty I have seen got the arm and back in wood. And also headstock is always in another color.
They assured me it is original but... I still have some doubts :)

Once again thanks for the replies.

That's an all-gold McCarty Standard. I had one with P-90s. There aren't many of them, but they're out there. As a matter of fact, one of these was in the PRS deck of playing cards...9 of Clubs, to be exact. :)

If unsure. Try to get complete serialnumber and Contact PRS support for verification. Matt over there helped me when i was unsure of my guitar. Told me specs of production-year, shipping-year, model, P-U configuration. So now I can sleep again :D

If Im not mistaken they made a few of these for 20th Anniv. Ive seen a few other McCartys and McSoapies in the same , all gold.

It looks original. In addition to Goldtops, PRS offered an all-gold finish that I believe they called "Old Gold."

There's nothing weird about the guitar that I can see, and it even has the original PRS case.

For whatever my opinion may be worth, it looks like a real McCarty to me. Fairly rare in all gold, and very cool even with the ding on the neck. (Several years ago there was a short-lived shop here in Amarillo that had one for sale, but they wanted waaaay too much for it.)

Just the idea that somebody might make a fake PRS - or any other brand - in GOLD?!? Is nothing sacred?!?

Goldtop, who sometimes weeps for mankind...

I've seen this paint scheme before. I do prefer the natural back and neck on goldtops, but this one was made for a while and there are a number of them out there like this. Without examining it in person, there is no way to absolutely guarantee that it is not a copy, but based on the photos, you should be fairly confident that it is legit. I've never seen a copy that was anywhere near this good if it's fake.

That says nothing about the legitimacy of the seller, however! ;D
