Thinking of a trade

I have a Gibson les Paul classic that I want to trade. I have been offered a PRS CE in a tripe burst tremolo bridge. The guy said it has a alder body on it. If I'm not mistaken fender strats come with alder right. I don't have much experience with alder.

So what are your feelings and experience on Alder bodies on a PRS CE
