Anybody know if PRS sells the Paul's guitar pickups separately?
If they do, would they fit in the SE version of the same guitar?

i know they're not exactly the same design, but if you had the right rings, could it work?

Even if they did sell the US TCI Pick-ups, they wouldn't fit the SE Paul's guitar.

The US TCI Pick-ups are longer and narrower than a standard Humbucker. The SE version (TCI 'S' Pick-ups) are the same size as a standard Pick-up and, as such, have the same routing too. The TCI US built Pick-ups can only fit in the Paul's guitar (older ones too) or replace one of the Pick-ups on the 408 (I believe the other is a Standard Humbucker size).

I am sure there are threads that have asked the same and a photo of both a standard Humbucker ring and a TCI/408 Pick up ring which shows how different they are - including the screw positions too so you would need to do some wood work to the body to get them to fit and likely to have a gap to fill and paint match.

They do not sell PG pickups in a retail setting. However...it is possible to find them occasionally through different dealers who get groupings of pickups in.

devious little boogers over there. ;)
they knew people would try this, but that's ok.

from the online sound samples they sound very similar...too close for me to complain about.

Thanks for the help, guys.
