Which is not to say the Macs have been trouble-free - I've had one hard drive failure in 25 years, and it was a Mac.

Ha! I'm one of 13 people in the world that have had a hard drive on a Mac catch on fire!

I've used pc's for about 30 years and have to say my mac's are bulletproof and worth the extra money. My challenging 19 year old spilled milk on my macbook, wiped it off and to ran perfectly. The drive needed a bit of cleaning but worked. I use a G5 for a music server and it works perfectly. The only real fault is that excel for the mac is not as good as the PC. Lots of functions missing.
