Things are getting weird…

Pray that the analog synthesizer bug doesn't bite...

("If I get that one it'll nail 1984 and Subdivisions and all the Moving Pictures parts!")
We bought my daughter a Roland Juno something when she was in high school. I keep telling her if she doesn't start playing it again I'm bringing it home so I can use it.

May be difficult to find what I'm about to say these days, but here's the scoop...

The Robben Ford McCarty Limited Edition Black issued in 2022 has specially voiced dojo pickups that mimic the cleans of single coil guitars, with bright top end that isn't harsh, deep, full low end that isn't dark or muffled. Paul went the extra mile for RF regards the pickups, and RF agrees Paul got it right.

Was just viewing the RF McCarty this evening, and they made 200 of them. There's one on eBay as we speak. Asking same price plus 1K as new, with zero play time. I've looked elsewhere, but eBay has one whereas no one else does.

😡 Everyone’s gotta make a buck. Gotta pay those hookers and drug dealers somehow I guess?

I can understand the angst. The seller has one feedback rating, and is asking $1K over MSRP for a non-played collector's piece. When you search for the RF McCarty with a search engine, the eBay item is the only one that has a valid link. Apparently, the seller plans on making big money by flipping collectibles and/or high ticket items. An honorable venture, if not a risky one in today's seller's market. If it weren't for the one feedback rating, I'd feel more comfortable considering business with him. At this point, not so comfortable.

Yeah, it’s their prerogative to do what they want. I sat and watched a DC-22 overpriced for forever. It’s still there I think. Pissed me off for a long time because I wanted one to play it. Eventually I found one at a more reasonable price, still way more than it was new. I guess I’m not a businessman.
