If you want it, I don't see why not.

I would be honored to be the press secretary for the department of redundancy, and would like to be the press secretary for the department of redundancy. Being the press secretary for the department of redundancy would be great. I think the department of redundancy should have a press secretary.

Also, I think that if you want this cabinet post, you should have it. I don't see why you shouldn't have it. If you want it, why not?
