After the chase for an SE Paul's Guitar crashed and burned, the search began anew. Many a bleary eyed night was spent on YouTube, Forums and other "Shady" places . Well... to make a short story long, I found MY guitar!!! I'd show a pic, but I don't subscribe to any online storage... or much of an online presence at that. I guess if you wanted to see it, her sister is still on the site. ;) https://righteousguitars.com/collec...-express-shipping-prs-0929-serial-21-s2049258

I would have started a new post about the search for the axe, but about a week and a half ago my computer had a major malfunction some where around conjunction junction. I was cloning a hard drive when something hiccuped and corrupted the OS. I'm still recovering bits and pieces. Sorry, I digress.

Anyway. It's a beautiful faded blue smoke burst, S2 McCarty 594 DC. I ordered it from Righteous Guitars on the 24th and received it on the 26th. The service, advice and overnight shipping were great! FedEx... Not so much. The driver left it on the porch standing up for all to see. Didn't knock or ring the bell. I didn't know it was there for over an hour! I know he wasn't driving a diesel, I'da heard that, I was sitting less than 20' from the door.

It's a pound an a half lighter than my Core 594 SC, I didn't think it would make as much difference as it has. I changed the strings to what I like, (EB Hybrid Slinky) then played the them both back to back. There are differences, but they are very subtle. In a mix, I don't think you could tell.

Bottom line... :D:D:DYE-HA!! :D:D:D

Thanks for all the comments, they are greatly appreciated.

The really cool thing about it that it is different than the one on RG's site.
The way the top was cut, it went thru some rings. Every place it intersects a ring there's a grey/silver line running the length of the intersection.
On the lower side there must have been a knot or something there's a swirling meandering grey/silver line that looks like smoke from a stogie. It runs from the neck pickup volume knob toward the lower horn. The lines on the top side are all pretty thin. The swirling line on the bottom gets up to about 3/16" in spots. The swirl is a little over 3/8" diameter. When it's on the stand, it looks like smoke rising.
