Amazing! I can't imagine what it would be like to take that view for granted.

The snow prompted me to dig the camera out:

It's got a lot worse since I took those pics. Most of the major roads and motorways have been closed.

Here's some sunnier pics i've taken over the past few years:

It's a beautiful city! I wouldn't mind going back there in the next year or two but i'll get a hotel in the centre and not miles out. I want to spend a little more time studying the architecture and not a fleeting glimpse.

I've learned that it's usually best to stay in the center of town because the money you save by saying on the outskirts, you spend on transportation or the extra time spent commuting. I learned this the hard way.

Same here. The hotel laid on a bus but it went back to the hotel stupidly early so we got taxis back. Stupidly expensive if I recall!

This is so true. Fortunately I had a friend who studied there for 5 years, so I stayed at his place when visiting, but even later, when he returned home, I always tried to stay in a hotel near the axis of Via Del Corso.
    Such a beautiful city.

Thanks man. And yes... that is Ben Burnley.
Here's a few more... but these would all be MUCH cooler if all these cats were playin' a PRS.
