I own the sparkled one and it is a damn fine guitar, not for the money, just a damn fine guitar.
It was Orianthi whose playing on "This is it" inspired me to finally learn the solo to "beat-it". I hate to say it, 'cause it's so chauvinistic.... but after realizing a young girl could do it, I had to learn to play it.
You should post a side by side video comparison of your version and hers.
OK...I am somewhat immune to personal shame and embarrassment...this is from over a year ago...the first time I actually got it to sound something like it was supposed to...I've gotten better since then...but not by much. so, here is my personal exercise in allowing myself to be embarrassed again. 1994 "1st 100 Mac" signed by Ted and the first time I ever used "drop D tuning".
