I was changing the pickup rings and noticed the neck pickup marked as 58/15 LT "V". I wonder what this "V" might mean.

I just swapped out the pickups on mine yesterday. The bass pickup is marked with a "V" but not the bridge.

Do McCarty’s come in 25in scale length? I just learned the 594 is a short scale length. I’m assuming it’s only the specified 594 that’s shorter than 25”?

The 594 name comes from the scale length, 24.594, which was something PRSh noticed on great sounding vintage Instruments. It isn’t a “short” scale, being actually a touch longer than the 24.5 standard scale normally attributed to the instruments that inspired this guitar.

The regular core McCarty is a 25” scale.
