The night before....

After the disaster that was the 88 quilt top purchase I have snagged myself a 2017 Cu24 in faded whale blue. I am off to pick it up tomorrow and cough up the rest of the cash.

I had been planning to be woodshedding tonight to impress the store assistants with my unique brand of atonal nonsense but I am stuck drinking beer staring at the photographs of the aforementioned guitar.

How do you guys kill the time before a NGD, specifically NGD-eve?

Congrats on the impending NGD! As for the night before, bourbon or gin! Day of, working (at home since 2007), and hoping the delivery guy comes when the wife is in the shower!

LOL... I feel that. How did did you overcome the urge, another amp, a new pedal perhaps?

I yearn for the simple times of yesteryear, when the only stuff you could lay your hands on was in your local music shop. The internet is a dangerous thing!

The shower thing yeah man! but nothing beats wine, because wine is good for the man when the woman drinks it!
We always talk about distraction, don't we!:D:cool:
 
I am very lucky. My wife, although she does not play herself, loves guitars! She is very understanding and dare I say encouraging. I'll show her something on Reverb or some such and she will tell be if she like it. Ultimately the decision is mine but she often persuades me! A new guitar coming into the house is a family thing where we gather around the case. No sneaky stuff I am afraid and she knows just how much everything cost. I was a little worried when she accidentally opened up a delivery of bluechip picks and she saw the invoice and did not bat an eyelid! She even helps me look for them when I drop them.

Every time.
