I Haven't Heard Anybody Really Talking About It On Here So I Thought I Would Make A Thread And See What People Think That Have The New Version Or If You Plan On Getting It?

Thoughts...? Other Than Expensive...LOL.

Looks like a wonderful pedal! The demos sound killer. Seems like it'd be worth the $$ if you're actually going to use the features.

I'd probably get all excited for a few weeks, create a tiny handful of presets, and then wind up using only those out of sheer laziness once the 'new' wears off.

Would that stop me from buying one if I got the itch? Probably not. 😂

Worth every penny, rack like experience in a very easy to use pedal. Pedal of the year!
Define Easy To Use. As In On Or Off Step OnThe Button? (Kidding)

I Suspect It Is Similar To The Regular Big Sky. I Just Don't Want To Spend More Time Tweaking Than I Would Playing. In That Regard, How Would You Compare It To The Original?

I assume this is a wonderfull tool for studio recordings and the connaisseur (cork sniffing) bedroom warrior. However I kind of doubt this will have any edge over the original big sky in live applications.

Bear with me. The V1 sounds wonderful, amazing even, and this V2 will pile up on that recipe. However version 1 is already rather over refined for the violence of PA and live mixes IMO (compared to what I can do with my helix or Kemper). In my church, with a big PA set of high quality in an auditorium of 1600 seats, the differences are audible, but when keys are playing the effect is not that big. Like using a wonderfull, gem inlayed elvensword in a war fought out with warhammers, clubs and rock hurling catapults. V2 will be like a shiney version of that gem inlayed elvensword in that same war.

So I can see the benefit in a UHD context of a studio, but not as much in de 420P of a live context. Especially with that price tag #shock

That line gave me an official, great-way-to-start-the-day chuckle!

I think you're right about its main use being an interesting studio time-eater, and no doubt they had using it in that context in mind with the stereo I/O, etc.

The thing clearly sounds excellent. I'd be awfully tempted if it had Bluetooth like the Eventide H9 and 99. It's so nice to use an app for patch creation, not have to connect a cable to a device, etc. I still create patches for my H9s because it's so easy to work via bluetooth.

I Am Thinking That Since I Only Get 1.7% Use Of The Full Capabilities Out Of The Original Version That Getting This New Pedal Will Likely Not Do Much For Me Other Than Cost Me Money, Time And Likely Frustration On Trying To Figure Out How To Even Work The Thing...LOL. Of Course Most Of Us Never Get The Full Potential Out Of Anything We Purchase So That Argument May Be A Bad Approach. It Is Pricey But All The Cool Stuff Is. I Purged A Lot Of Pedals With Many More To Go So Do I Want To Turn Around And Buy More Pedals? Doing So Will Eat Into My Amp Funds Which Doesn't Help My Amp Problem. Maybe I Should Stick With The Pedals I Have And Just Buy Another Amp? I Know...1st World Problems....

So the web chatter is if you have the OG why spend for the slightly tweaked new version. Never owned the og so it’s all new to me. I struggle with to many options on any board/pedal and agree that if you use 10% of the total probably a waste of hard earned cash. Lush and modding a particular preset was easy. Very usable and complimentary sitting next to the Keeley Halo.

Well of course it's beyond overkill.

That's what makes people want it! 😂

I’m not a pedal guy, so my thinking might be out to lunch.

That said, I feel like I only use a tiny bit of the range of any pedal. I get it, fiddle the knobs and switches to see where it will go, then set it to the place I like the most and make small changes within that space.

I must be out to lunch, too.

I've certainly bought pedals to get one particular sound, set them for what I bought them for, and thereafter haven't changed a thing. I'm the opposite with amps, where I'll change the settings regularly.

Who's to say that it's less legit to use the controls to simply enable the player to find a setting that works, to be left alone thereafter?

Good Thoughts On All The Above Comments. To Approach This From A Different Perspective Than My Original Thread Starting Thought And To Closer Align With The Last Few Comments I Guess It Doesn't Matter If You Fully Utilize Any Product As Long As The Product Has Something Inspiring That You Can Use. I Would Rather Have A Product That Cost Me A Lot Of Money That I Found Something Great In And Could Use One Thing To Make Music Than To Own An Inexpensive Product That I Got Everything Out Of It That It Could Possibly Offer Yet Didn't Inspire Or Provide Anything I Could Use To Make Music.

I Was Trying To Turn A Corner And Be More Sensible But Now I Can Quickly See How Messed Up That Made Me. 😂

I have the OG model and it already does more than I could ever need. The new features and updates don’t appeal to me in any way that makes me feel like a trade in is needed. I have other reverb pedals on my board and extensive signal routing options at my disposal. So I’ll stick with the original.

I Have The Original Big Box Pedals And Like Them. I Just Was Wondering How Much Better the New One Is (Especially At The Price Point) Because It Isn't Cheap. Heck, The Original Is An Arm And A Leg As It Is.
