So...this morning I spoke to my son who's in LA (I'm in Michigan), but we talk nearly every day. "How's it going?" I said.

"Fine," said he.

"Anything interesting happening?"

"Not much."

Oh, not much at all. Just a live webcast from 30 Seconds to Mars' studio with Jamie on piano. That's all. Not much. And of course, knowing zilch zero nada nothing nil null about it, I missed it.

I have yet to see him perform a live set with these guys. I've seen stuff on YouTube, that's it. You Tube.

This pic was on Twitter. Someone told me it was there, that's how I found out about it.

I have no idea what's pointing at Jared's groin, but it looks painful.

He doesn't realize how cool that actually is and how proud you actually are. Its says a lot that you speak everyday, must be a great kid.

Yeah, he is the friendliest, nicest guy, and people really like hanging with him.

But...tells me nothing!!! Gaaaaahhhh!

I also just found out that he played guitar and did backup vocals on the broadcast. Sigh. I saw pictures. Missed the show. Only...pictures...

you sound like you need a piece of pie!!! It will help you think of a solution!!! Worked magic for agent K

Nice. Good for him, even if getting info is like pulling teeth.

My son is the same way about school. I was hoping it was just a teenager thing.

I caught this last night and should have messaged you Les! It was via the VYRT susbscription stream they do. He was great! Unfortunately they're pretty strict about reposting videos from this so I doubt any will surface on YouTube but hey - you know a guy so maybe you can get a copy ;)

From what I gather (still haven't had a chance to speak with Jamie), part of the performance was a sneak peek at new material.

I would've liked to hear that!

I'm glad I'm not alone in this "son tells me nothing" thing! Daughters are a different story.

Sounds like he is taking it all in his stride and it is not overwhelmed with any of it. :)

I think maybe they'll have a download version of it from what I can see on the website. Geez, you'd think he'd have given me a heads-up.

Mike, I get the impression that it may have been an acoustic set. Did Tomo and Shannon play, too?

You're son has spread his wings and flown from the nest. That's always a cocktail of pride mixed with a splash of sadness at the passing of an era.

All in a day's work dad, all in a day's work.

Congrats Les!

Thanks, Shawn...for him it is just a day's work, I guess.

So true. Of course, he never told me anything in college or high school, either... ;)

Just to play the counter point here, I frequently wish my five year old daughter would Just. Stop. Talking. for five minutes, please!
