I hear copious amounts of wine will help.
but not that.
That's a great unit. No concerns with heat? I converted a Haier wine cooler into a humidor. Pulled the wine racks out and had some custom Spanish Cedar drawers (and one shelf) made to slide in and out of where the racks were. During the summer temps could get to 75+ in it, and the wine cooler highest temp was too low and drew all of the humidity out. I wired in a temperature control unit that would kick on at 75 and turn off at 68. I was using the big Cigar Oasis to start with, then went to beads, and finally settled on kitty litter, in aquarium filter bags. One on the bottom, two hanging behind the drawers, and one on the shelf on top. I was very skeptical, at first. But, that stuff works better than anything else I tried. Three hygrometers (top, mid, and low) to keep it fresh.
I started working through the box of 'sequestered' cigars tonight. I sure hope the internet experts are right about wiping off white mold and getting on with it.
So far, so good.
I get that a lot.
Nope. Works great.
I used a wine fridge for a while. Worked great but I ran out of room. Can we see your Fridgedor?
Sure. The middle hygro is mounted on the back wall.
Because I care I would be glad to be your guinea pig and smoke the worst of the lot and let you know if it is safe.
Try a vacuum pump. Oh you meant trousers!
Maybe a rack then
You mean like a rack of ribs?
Nope, but a few racks would make the waist fit! You’d need the other kind to make the legs fit!
In the 80's, I was an avid cigar smoker, perhaps my choices were what made me quit eventually. Antonio and Cleopatra.. I tried a cigar, a quality one at that, way back on a visit to Texas, I got ill, you know, the kid heaves from that first real smoke.. After that, I just let them be.. I do love the aroma of them and the ritual of them, but they just don't love me any longer...
Happy Friday, fellas. Tonight's delight: The legendary Cohiba Esplendidos.
Is it a rescue? Or just choice inventory?
This is one of the rescue sticks. It had just a spot though. An incredible cigar.
Yummy! Great way to end the week. Beverage choice?
I had to Google that
I fully support not messing with the flavour of a good cigar. I’m glad you’re getting full value out of a rescue. Cheers mate.
The ‘morning after’ smoke. Cohiba Siglo Medio.
Your living the dream, good for you! That view is spectacular.
