Zombie Three, DFZ
My wife has collected stones for years. When we met it was little river rocks you could carry in your pocket and worry on. Later on the became more exotic. For the last few years she has turned some of them into jewelry. She donates the time it takes and gives the profits to charity. Cancer research has been the charity of choice, with sales via her Beads for Cancer Etsy store.
This month, she got together with a few other women to raise funds for a shelter. I took photos of some of her new items. Here are some examples of what a stone can be when it grows up.
I find the colouring on these amazing.
Similar colour tones, but not as polished
tiny bits and bobbles
They had planned to do all purple, but leaked in some earth tones
alternate shapes
and for those fond of a triple fade
For those on Facebook, they are at The Sister's Collective Auction House - though it isn't an auction. This month only.
