My son-in-law is an awesome guy who has a company that makes furniture - including stools for PRS, Mesa, and others! So today, I got a most excellent surprise delivered by UPS that he thought I'd like for my studio. This is a whole lotta awesomeness for me and I'll explain why below:



Partybaby is my son's band! And this is the band's logo. Is this cool, or what! I was just delighted.

Whaddaya mean, underwhelmed? I liked it! Somehow the arrangements and performances remind me of the vibe of The Grateful Dead, especially their earlier stuff that I always liked. I can't put my finger on why I think that, maybe it's just that there's a sweet, laid back, Haight-Ashbury feel to it.

I hope that's not insulting, because I mean it as a compliment! Plus, I think you're getting good guitar tones and the playing's quite nice! Everyone sounds good in the recording, too.

And thanks for the kind words about my son's band...you should hear them live (I hope you will when they come to PA again)! They freaking rock out HUGE. I actually have all the tracks they cut for the soon-to-be released record, and it's all really good stuff. But I'm not allowed to post it, of course...

Of course he likes France. Who doesn't like France? How could you not like a country that gave us the French Bulldog, French Toast, the French Horn, French Fries, the French Press, French Dressing, the French Kiss, and the white flag.

It doesn't matter that most (if not all) of these things aren't French. People (like me) just really like France so, ya know, we give them stuff.
