The DGT Is Truly The Perfect Guitar - For Me.

Just sayin'....it wasn't for lack of trying.

I'd never even heard of him outside this forum.

Don't take it personally...
I totally understand. When I posted the video clip above I was just seeing if you had heard him in other situations. It’s totally OK if a certain player doesn’t do it for you, that’s all about individual tastes and we’re all influenced by different things. Hey, I don’t like the Rolling Stones but between you and me I’d get killed if I said that too loud on most of these forums! 😂

Did someone ask for a stoptail?

Yeah, I asked about a stoptail DGT, but THAT stoptail?? YOW!! 😲 That guitar is friggin' outrageous. Is that yours, Veinbuster? I've been a fan of having no inlay on a fretboard for a long, long time, and the guitar pictured... between the figuring on the body (looks like flame Koa, maybe?) a figured fretboard, the mixed nickel with a touch of gold hardware AND not having inlay on the fretboard??

It just don't get no mo' betta than that, imo. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks!
Glad you like it.
The top, fingerboard and headstock are all from the same piece of koa.
I couldn’t visualize an inlay that would enhance the koa, so I asked them to leave it blank.

I had never heard of him outside of the context of PRS either (come to think of it, I still haven't). But he was at the one and only PRS Experience I went to (maybe 2014?) and hearing play live was really something. I didn't go out and buy any Dave Grissom records after that, but I did walk out of the factory with his signature amplifier in tow. I find a bunch of great session musicians that way. Really a joy to listen to live, but it's not because of their ability to compose music that I want to listen to outside of that context.

Maybe in your case.

Mine have been good for 34 years.

But I'm 44, soon to be 45. 47, you're in heaven. 11. And where's Kevin? Brethren. The Sistren are whistling at questions and expression with obsessions. However there are lessons. No depression, just a profession at my discretion.

Oh silly past time of mine, you were always good for a rhyme. [says Fee on a Apple.] { Dough, Ray, Me, FA } F+, A-. Open up and say AH! HaH!

Not that you're making any sense at all, but I appreciate the effort! 😀

What are the 4 amps? BTW, you probably don't remember, but you were standing next to me when I decided to buy the DG30 amp at Experience.
Pretty sure I had mine at the time, or I'd have done the very same thing!

HXDA, DG30, Lone Star, Fillmore.

Same lineup I've had for years. I sometimes get a new amp urge, but I can't figure out what I'd want that'd be much different.

Very cool. I have divested myself of most of my amps, but I still do have that DG30. The only two that I find myself playing is a Swart Space Tone Stereo 5W class A amp and an HDRX20. I regret getting rid of my Lone Star.

I thought about selling it when I got a little bored, but on the theory that every little thing matters, I picked up some NOS tubes for it.

The tubes didn't change the basic character of the amp, of course - it's not an 'OMG this is amazing' thing. But they've taken it to a different level that's hard to put into words. Turns out, it's gone from 'nice amp' to 'keeper'.

[Edit: I removed the attempted humor :)]
