The chopping block

I haven't gone overboard on guitars or amps. Yet. I have 6 guitars, but none of them need to go. There are 3 that I play often: 1 with humbuckers (custom 24), 1 with single coils (Yamaha Pacifica), and a 7 string that I built myself. There are 2 acoustics: one was the guitar I learned to play on, and the other I got for free and it needs a lot of TLC. I will likely give it away after fixing it up. And there's my first guitar that I now leave at my parent's house so that I have a guitar there.

I do have too many pedals. I can definitely sell my Dyna Comp Mini, Keeley Hydra, Tube Screamer, Blues Driver, and a few others. I also need to suck it up and accept that the Wampler Tumnus is the overdrive for me and sell my Prince of Tone. Part of me is saying "the POT is the better pedal and you just prefer the Tumnus because you're used to it". So I POT on the board to try it out again, only to switch back to the Tumnus after a few days.

No more zebra wood Hamer to contend with. Already feeling seller’s remorse. I can remember contacting Hamer 100 years ago and asking if they’d build from my wood. They said they didn’t as a rule, but agreed to with this one. I can still remember boxing up that 1 piece zebra top I found in my dad’s stash.

Somebody’s getting a truly rare and cool one-off Hamer.

I still can’t believe you let that one go….
I'll admit it was pretty stupid of me. One of many, many stupid mistakes I've made. I've had well over 35 PRSes, and only have 6 now?

Stupid. I'll admit it. But I was kinda trying things on for size, experimenting, and...yeah, being an idiot. As you know, I'm a keyboard player before I'm a guitar player, so WTF do I know? Nothing.

My excuse in recent years is that I was trying to keep the peace on the home front. And I had a few guitars that were similar in tone quality. Still, selling that one's a regret to some degree.

The good news is that the Special I got is a great guitar. So that's something positive. :)

It’s actually a prized possession. My wife bought it for me when she was in college, and she hauled it with a bottle of champagne in it through downtown Chicago, to the train to the suburbs, and to my house for my birthday years back.

I love mopping.

Edit: Mop Porn

Sergio………..what the?………….
They’re BLUE!
I have a 30th Anniversary SE Custom 24 and a stupid beautiful 509 on the bay right now. After they go, I will sell another because I literally ran out of room. Plus, the two for sale aren’t blue.

All of them?!?!!!
Yep, ALL of them. I at least want to know what they're willing to offer. For example, I have no intention of selling the Joe Walsh Ltd, but if they offer a price too good to pass up, then the DC-22 will have to do as my LP style guitar. Right now, I intend to keep ME-V, JW Ltd, Red Westie, DC-22, SE Silver Sky, and Music Man JP-15 and maybe the '90 Standard.

Damn! That's extreme cleansing.
I've only worked up to cake platters at that level so far.
