Not sure if it should be called great, cause, well ... brown.

PRS doesn't have any colors they call brown, but, really there are some browns in there. It's a spectrum.

Brown is really just dark orange. I have it on good authority from the "Technology Connections" You Tube channel.

So, post your "Brown" guitars! And an excuse along with it as to why it belongs in the list even though the color doesn't have "Brown" in the name.

I'll start!

Here's my Paul's Dirty 100, in glorious ... Brown Gold Burst Wraparound.

They call it Black Gold, but really ... it's Brown. A lovely brown! There's honestly nothing wrong with a good brown!

I have a 1990 CU24 in the tortoise shell finish. Here it is. I would definitely not say it looks brown, more of a rust red. However I'll make the case that it is or started as brown like so: there is a video on youtube of Paul going over the PRS line in 1990. When talking about PRS colors he explicitly says that "brown stains become tortoise shell". I think at best that process was pretty imperfect because I feel like tortoise shell is the possibly least consistent PRS color I've seen. Some red, some orange, some deep brown, some rust red like mine. But we have it from Paul himself that they are supposed to be brown. I think the brown fades with time and the result is sort of random. So I've laid out my case, it's in thehands of the jury now.

And just to show that I do love a good brown guitar, my former collection of SGs, a 1974 SG Special in walnut finish, a 2018 SG Special in 'natural' finish, and 2006 SG Standard VOS (the red one).

100% legit, I'll allow it!
