Oh I absolutely did "the responsible thing". My first effort was to offer the trade-in value of the truck toward the full sticker price of 3 brand new PRS guitars, which coincidentally happened to add up to the exact KBB trade-in value of the truck. (I know a PRS dealer who will consider non-guitar trade-ins.) He thought about it for a few days but then passed on the offer. The next thing I know, a guy messages me on FB marketplace (where I listed it) and he eventually bought it. I am absolutely shocked at myself for not turning around and spending the entire boatload on more guitars. Buying one used PRS at half the price of a new one was the deal I made with myself, the reward if you will, for actually paying down debt instead of buying even more guitars.
