Test

It's not a good thing, when when a companies products are so good, you actually start planning the next acquisition, before the current project is completed ...

Like I said in another thread, I visited my local GC to check out a S2 MC Carty 594 with the Pattern Vintage neck carve, so I could gather enough impressions so that I could eliminate from the GuitarLust files ...

Didn't Happen.. I flirted with a DC in the cool Blue color and dammit I saw I was in trouble. The chunky neck carve did not murderlize my (lets call them size deficient) hands. As a matter of fact, it felt easier to play barre chords with this chunkier carve. Then... there was the Flamey/ Stripey (can't get that with a Thinline)

At the beginning of my S2 Project madness (to be my first American PRS) I wanted an S2 DC in the coolest of the cool Dark Cherry Burst flavor.. But there was the neck carve. Big Chunky. Contoured.

There were none in the vicinity to fondle (A very meaningful factor in buying any guitar. Fondle First ! :D )
Even worth paying more for , within reason for the cost of inventory and sales staff. (But the store has to be "reasonable" too)

Anyway, I played it safe, and went with what seemed to be the safer bet for me... a Thinline. Waited 6 months for it, but it is probably one of my favorite of favorites. I was sure that her chunkier sister (she probably eats like me) would just not work out ...

Wrong. After messing with a DC (the SC did feel more massive) I now gotta have the S2 594 DC..

BUT ... I still have to bring Project Hollowbody to fruition ;)

I'm sure I will go through a "Now I need More Hollowbodies " phase (as the Standards in Tobacco look pretty hot)
and well, they are different from anything else in the arsenal ...

So in addition to a Hollowbody "backup" ... there is the S2 McCarty 594 "Chubber" I now have to have ...

Like Steppenwolf wisely said "GaudDamm, The Pusher Man" !

But at least when I'm broke from Guitar Addiction, and living in a cardboard box, under an overpass, people will throw money at me to stop me from playin any guitar I have left ...:p

You’ve found the slope!
