I see one locally for sale @ $610. I'm wondering if it will be too loud to use in my townhouse and if it will sound good with the master turned down so I can stay under 90db. How is the reliability?

  • 30 Watts.
  • 1 x 12" with WGS ET-65 Speaker.
  • EL84 Power Tubes. ( like the DG)
  • Reverb.
  • Bright Switch.
  • Cathode Biased.
  • Dimensions: 27" x 25" x 9.75"
  • Weight: 42 lbs.
I would say YES!!!! As far as Volume , no worries

I've heard the amp, and it's excellent.

The amp sounds a lot better than the demo indicates.

As to how effective the MV is, I have no idea.

The reliability should be good. The construction on the American PRS amps is, at worst, semi-hand wired with very robust 1-2 layer circuit boards, chassis mounted pots & tube sockets with good components.

Fortunately it's local so you can try out the MV and get a feel for the amp in person. If it's in good shape, $610 is a great price.
